Privacy
This page is about this website — what unityzm.co collects when you read it. It is not the platform's data policy; the platform handles regulated data under a separate and much longer set of rules.
The short version
No third party. No raw addresses. No cookie you did not choose.
There is no analytics vendor on this site, no advertising network and no social tracking pixel. We count page views ourselves, on our own server.
Read this site without answering anything and it sets no cookies at all. There are exactly two you can end up with, and each one is a thing you chose: an answer to the banner that asks whether we may count your visit, and a sign-in session if you sign in. Both are listed below.
What is recorded
Reading a page.
Stored
- The path you opened and the time
- Your browser's user-agent string, truncated
- A salted one-way hash of your IP address — only if you said yes
Never stored
- Your IP address itself
- Anything shared with a third party
- Anything that identifies you as a person
- Any cookie you were not asked about
The IP hash exists for two narrow purposes: telling one reader from two, and rate-limiting the enquiry form so it cannot be flooded. It is salted and one-way, so it cannot be turned back into an address.
It is only written if you said yes. The banner asks once and remembers your answer for a year — that answer is the first of the two cookies. Say no and the visit is still counted, but the hash field is left empty, so there is nothing to group you by. Ignore the banner entirely and nothing is stored at all, because the answer has nowhere to live.
If you send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control — the DNT: 1 or
Sec-GPC: 1 header — you are never shown the banner and the hash is never written,
whatever else you have clicked. You answered before you arrived. We honour the signal rather than
ignoring it, which most sites do.
Signing in
The form is not ours, on purpose.
Choose Sign in and a panel opens over this page. The form inside it is
served by portal.unityzm.co and framed here — it looks like part of this site, and
it is deliberately not.
That is the whole design. Your email address, the username you pick and your mobile number are typed into the portal and stored by the portal. They never reach this site, so a total compromise of unityzm.co could not leak them. If you would rather see whose page you are typing into, every panel carries an open it in a new tab link to the same form.
When you come back signed in, this site is told three things and no more: an account id, your display name and your username. No address, no number, no password — there is no password to have, because signing in is a one-time link sent to your email. Those three facts are what the second cookie holds, signed so it cannot be edited, for thirty days or until you sign out.
The portal is a separate service under its own policy. Deleting your account there is the way to remove what it holds; signing out here only clears the cookie on this site.
The enquiry form
What you send us.
If you fill in the form, we store what you typed: your name, your contact detail, the topic you picked and your message, with the time and the same salted hash.
It goes to us and nowhere else. It is never published on the site, never shown to other visitors and never passed to a third party. Ask us to delete it and we will.
The form has a hidden field a person never sees. If it comes back filled in, the submission is discarded as automated. That is the whole anti-spam mechanism — there is no CAPTCHA and no third-party bot service reading your browser.
Showcase placements
Ads here do not watch you.
Paid placements on this site are chosen by the page you are on, not by anything about you.
A slot on the Commerce page carries a Commerce business because the page is about Commerce. There is no profile, no ad network, no cross-site tracking and no bidding on your attention. We do not know who you are, so we could not target you if we wanted to.
Elsewhere
Links that leave this site.
This site links out to portal.unityzm.co and
brief.unityzm.co. Those are ours and run on the same principles, but they are separate
services and collect their own data.
Two things on this site run in a frame, and they are not alike. The interactive selector on the home page is served from this same site and makes no outbound requests. The sign-in panel is served by the portal, under the portal's policy — see Signing in above.
